About me

Growing up, living and working in the beautiful county of Linconlshire, surrounded by open views of the countryside inspires me to do what I do.

I started off garment making at 17, taught by my mother who worked in tailoring in her youth. After I married I decided to go back to college to study fashion and learn more about pattern cutting and couture. This then developed into a small business making made to measure bridal and evening wear, most of my work coming from word of mouth. The part I enjoyed most about garment making was the surface decoration and embellishment.

After a few years off, I decided to return to college, this time to do a course in advanced creative textiles. My tutor on the course introduced me to the local branch of the embroiderers guild, where I met some amazingly talented artists. I was also introduced to a whole wealth of new materials though glass beads have always been a favourite. I have always loved glass in all it's forms and collect perfume bottles and other pieces of handmade glass, on top of my huge stash of beads.

About three years ago I started making my own jewellery selling quite a few pieces to friends and family. Their friends then wanted to buy and commission some pieces so here I am today with my on line shop.
